Satowallet, Hits Over 1 Billion Naira Crypto Transaction in a Month – First in Africa Crypto Wallet and Exchange
The CEO of Satowallet, Samuel Benedict Ogbonnaya on September 7th 2018, took to his Facebook wall to write
“SATOWALLET HITS A BILLION NAIRA TRANSACTION IN THE MONTH OF AUGUST. THANKS TO CZ @CHANGPENGZHAO FOR INSPIRING ME. WE ARE GETTING THERE”
Seeing this great and impressive transaction margin reached by Satowallet, a product of Blockchain Tech Hub based in Abuja, Nigeria, we (Entrepreneur Nigeria) reached out to him as regards the update.
He disclosed to us that the company (Satowallet) had processed $3,450,955 (1,242,344,000 Naira) worth of cryptocurrency transaction in August after doing their monthly review.
Satowallet is a multi-cryptocurrency wallet and exchange App which is available on both Android and iOS and currently have over 28,000 users using the Satowallet apps to store, stake/mine, and securely trade their cryptocurrencies.
Recall that the company recently partnered with Changelly one of the largest US Based Crypto Swap companies, to provide coin swap on the Satowallet App.

In an interview with the CEO by Changelly team, he said;
“we would be releasing an offline protocol for crypto transactions soon on Satowallet. This will enable non-smart phones and people in rural areas to be able to transact cryptocurrencies like local banking”
He also disclosed to us that Satowallet is now available on
- Android Wallet
- iOS Wallet and
- Pc Wallet
Just few days after Changelly partnership, Satowallet also partnered with Tron, one of the largest cryptocurrency foundations in Asia,

and later another partnership with Gidibyte, another big cryptocurrency in Europe.
Could this be the beginning of Crypto boom in Africa or just an effect of Adoption? Time will tell us more.
