The Keepers Of The Earth Grant/Fund (KOEF) is for the empowerment of indigenous communities worldwide to support indigenous values-based community development. This grant will help support indigenous-led projects on the most pressing issues that affect indigenous people around the world. The primary focus of this grant is to empower grassroots indigenous communities in establishing their rights and also retaining their traditional values. All applications for this grant will be viewed from the point of innovative indigenous values that are woven to fit into the design project and at the same time, addressing real-time development needs of the indigenous people. The Keepers of the Earth Fund (KOEF) is all about cultural survival which encourages partnerships and networking, a capacity building that yields results, as well as strategic approaches that lead to indigenous development. The mission of cultural survival is to always at all times, uphold indigenous peoples’ rights and supports indigenous communities’ self-determination, cultures, and political resilience.
The Keepers Of The Earth Grant/Fund (KOEF) funding information
Through this project, cultural survival will be giving out grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to indigenous-led and controlled organizations and groups around the world.
The Keepers Of The Earth Grant/Fund (KOEF) eligibility criteria
To qualify for this grant, all interested applicants must:
- Be an indigenous organization, grassroots group, or a traditional indigenous government that caters for the welfare of the indigenous people
- Have an annual budget that is less than $150, 000 USD every year
- Must have an account with a bank in the name of the organization or have an already existing written agreement with a fiscal sponsor
