The Nigerian economy went into recession in early 2016, and ever since then, the country and everyone in it have suffered it one way or the other.
Straight to September 2016, The Chief Executive Officer of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Yemi Kale, has said that the effect of Nigeria coming out of recession and will not be felt immediately, but then, does that statement make any sense to a common man in the street?
Yes Nigeria is out of recession 2017 but does that mean Nigerian citizens are no longer suffering. so the question of “What are the causes of economic recession in Nigeria” becomes important before a clear answer is given.
