Tijani Babatunde Folawiyo also known as Tunde Folawiyo is a Nigerian businessman and the managing director of Yinka Folawiyo Group.

Background
Tunde Folawiyo came from a well to do background. He was born on the 12th of April, 1960. He attended prestigious schools like the London School of Economics from where he got B.Sc degree in Economics in 1980 and an LL.B in 1984. He also got an LL.M degree from the University College London in June 1985.

Rise to Prominence
Tunde Folawiyo was a non-executive director of Access Bank plc between 11 October 2005 to 29 January 2014. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1985. He started his law practice in Nigeria with the firm Ogunsaya but later resigned from law in 1989. He was made the vice president of Nigerian Association of Indigenous Petroleum Explorers & Productions (NAIPEC), a position which he has held since 1996.
Tunde Folawiyo is one man who occupies the leadership position in many different prestigious organizations. He is the chairman of the Yinka Folawiyo Group; a conglomerate which was founded by his father Wahab Folawiyo. The organisation is involved in energy, agriculture, shipping and real estate. He took over the reins of leadership of the organisation after his father passed in 2008. He also serves as the Director of MTN Nigeria Ltd, Executive Director of Yinka Folawiyo Group of Companies and is the founder of Folawiyo Energy Ltd which is a subsidiary of the Yinka Folawiyo Group of Companies.
He has sat on the boards of many different leading organizations. He is a member of the global advisory board of the African Leadership Academy. The African Leadership Academy is a pan-African institute committed to developing and mentoring new generations of African leaders. He is also a fellow of the Duke of Edinburgh’s World Fellowship and is a member of the Governing Council of the Lagos State University and the Lagos State Government. In addition to that he is part of the Board of Trustees of Crescent University in Abeokuta.
He is married to Renie Folawiyo.
