Mo Abudu whose full name is Mosunmola Abudu is a Nigerian media mogul who has been described by Forbes as “Africa’s Most Successful Woman”. And it is not hard to see why -she is a talk show host, TV producer, media personality, human resources management consultant, entrepreneur and a philanthropist.
Background│Family
Although she is fully Nigerian, Mo was born in the United Kingdom and spent seven years of her early life there until her family moved to Lagos, Nigeria. She went to Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School but later on went back to the UK to attend Hammersmith Country Secondary School. Unfortunately she lost her father when she was just 12.
She also went to the University of Westminster London from where she got a master’s degree in HR Management.
Mo had a short lived marriage to Tokunbo Abudu, the union however produced two children before it ended- a daughter and a son.
Mo Abudu lives in Lagos but also travels to other countries frequently.

Rise To Prominence
Mo Abudu started her career working as a recruitment consultant in the UK. She went on to work for Esso Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited (Now ExxonMobil) as the head of their Human Resources and Training unit. She left the company to establish her own specialist human resources development company- Vic Lawrence & Associates Limited (VLA) in 2000.
She also started an executive training center at the Protea Hotel, Oakwood Park, Lagos at about the same time.
Mo Abudu started EbonyLife TV in 2006. She is also the Executive Producer & Host of the TV talk show “Moments with Mo“.
She is also the creator of The Debaters, a reality TV show funded by Guaranty Trust Bank.
